PWD steps up desilting of major stormwater drains in Puducherry
The Irrigation wing under the PWD has around 40-km-long stormwater drains in the urban limits and 319-km-long channels in the rural areas. The desilting of the drains in the urban limits has been taken up at a cost of around ₹1.99 crore and the work in rural areas at a cost of ₹2.5 crore, a PWD official said
