Akron’s $300M sewage plant could be replaced by new overflow limits
A proposed federal agreement would allow Akron to abandon a $300 million sewage-treatment facility while limiting untreated overflows to three events totaling no more than 93.1 million gallons in a typical year. The deal also requires monitoring and extended disinfection.
