Alvin K Hellerstein, a distinguished federal judge known for presiding over major cases, passed away Wednesday morning with his family by his side. He dedicated his judicial career to the US District Court for the Southern District of New York from 1998 and dealt with high-profile matters, including those of Nicolás Maduro and President Donald Trump's hush money.
