Refusal to marry post consensual relationship isn’t abetment to suicide: Supreme Court
The Supreme Court has quashed criminal proceedings against six individuals accused of abetting a woman’s suicide after her lover refused to marry her. A Bench of Justices J.B. Pardiwala and K. Vinod Chandran ruled that a refusal to marry after a consensual relationship does not automatically constitute abetment to suicide.
